Matt Hitchins, Our Future Hospital Project Coordinator
As Project Coordinator, I provide project management support to the OFH Programme, creating project plans and process mapping, monitoring and delivering actions across work streams, management of risk, working collaboratively with contractors, consultants and all stakeholders, input to space management and supporting the production of business cases. I also support to the Capital Project Manager and Programme Manager where required.
Lindsay Stanbury, Our Future Hospital Operational Lead
As Operational Lead, I link the hospital redevelopment programme to our clinical and operational teams across NDDH for areas such as demand and capacity modelling, benefits identification and future models of care, to ensure we have their involvement in planning ‘Our Future Hospital’.
I help with the development of key business cases and projects that support the hospital redevelopment programme, which include staff residences and MRI capacity expansion.
As Site Master Planning Administrator, I manage new and outstanding space requirements across the Northern site of the Trust on behalf of the Space Utilisation Group and in line with the Our Future Hospital site master planning activity. I coordinate teams by liaising with digital, clinical, administrative and capital workforce teams to coordinate timely successful space moves. I also provide project support to the OFH Project Coordinator and the wider programme management team.
Karen Bowerman, Head of Financial Projects and Our Future Hospital Finance Lead
As Finance lead, I am responsible for co-ordinating both the financial and economic sections of the Our Future Hospital Business Cases. This includes the evaluation of both capital and revenue affordability of the proposed scheme and future models of care, ensuring the programme achieves value for money. I also lead on financial monitoring and reporting during the business case development period and subsequent construction through to post-project financial evaluation of benefits realisation.
Marianne Phillips, Programme Management Office (PMO) Lead
As PMO Lead, I provide management of the PMO that supports the delivery of the hospital redevelopment. I help in setting the processes and practices of project management across the programme, such as planning, risk and issue management, governance, communications and reporting. I provide support to the senior programme leads, and act as a guide and mentor to the programme team.
Philip Pyle, Our Future Hospital Strategic Workforce Planning Lead
As Strategic Workforce Planning Lead, in addition to supporting the various stages of the business case process, I provide dedicated workforce planning expertise to the Our Future Hospital programme. This involves the development of strategic workforce planning infrastructure and capability across the Trust, in order that workforce is strategically connected to the clinical, estate and transformational objectives of the future hospital programme.
Kevin Ward, Our Future Hospital Head of Estates and Estates Lead
As the Head of Estates and Estates Lead, I oversee the design and delivery of Estates related aspects of the programme. I have over 40 years’ experience in engineering and construction disciplines, across a wide range of industry sectors. Major projects included automotive manufacturing and robotics, project managing and commissioning replacement of infrastructure for power generation and water treatment installations including the National/Landmark Trusts Lundy Island.
As the Programme Administration Manager, I provide business support and a comprehensive administration service for the Our Future Hospital Programme Management Office (PMO).
Zahara Hyde, Our Future Hospital Programme Director
As Programme Director, I provide strategic direction and support to the Our Future Hospital programme.
I was appointed in September 2020 through an open search and selection process and joined the Trust with a broad base of experience. As former Director of Strategy for a Trust in the West Midlands, and latterly Managing Director of a Clinical Commissioning Group, I oversaw the development of the Local Care Partnership delivery plan for the North-Mid Hampshire health and care system. Whilst serving on the system executive body, I led the development of the strategic case for change for the new acute hospital in North Hampshire.
Prior to joining the NHS, I was responsible for delivery of a number of complex national programmes in the sport and activity sector.
David Sanders, Our Future Hospital Clinical Lead
As Clinical Lead, Chair of the Clinical Strategy Decision Group and Consultant Abdominal Wall and Upper GI Surgeon, I am the lead clinical representative on the Our Future Hospital Programme, providing guidance and feedback on clinical elements of the hospital redevelopment, including designs, demand and capacity modelling and health requirements for the population.
Matt Smith,Our Future Hospital Business Intelligence Lead
As the Business Intelligence Lead, I am responsible for providing intelligence, statistics and insights to the programme. This includes demand and capacity modelling to determine the size and scope of the hospital and ensuring that the hospital will meet the future needs of the Northern Devon population.
As Programme Manager, I have the responsibility to ensure that the programme produces the required products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits. I am also responsible for the programme producing a result capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case as well as leading on the development of the programme timeline.
Most recently, at the trust, I managed the programme for a large scale IT implementation and led the full business case for the delivery of EPIC, an Electronic Healthcare Record. In addition, I've worked within the NHS for almost ten years and prior to this worked in blue chip private sector project delivery.
